GATEWAYS
“It’s like I have a big hole inside of me”, confided my friend. I felt a wave of familiarity flow over me. I also had a hole. Which one of us does not? We all have wounds, and aches or longings. With care and time our wounds heal. With golden thread we mend them. Those transformed wounds give us unique character, beauty and wisdom.
I am thrilled with my new series, “Gateways”. I have burned holes in silhouettes. Gold paint has been added to symbolize that in spite of, or even because of wounds we are made more beautiful. Wounds are gateways to access our true power.
